The Anti-Electrifier is a recurring item in the Pikmin series. It first appears in Pikmin 2 and returns in Pikmin 3 as a treasure.
is a special item in Pikmin 2 that when unlocked, allows your pilots' suits to be immune to electricity, electrical attacks, and any other related things.(But you might get knocked down by the Titan Dweevil's electrical blasts, without taking any space-suit damage.) This is useful when trying to pass through such barriers with a group of Yellow Pikmin to carry out a command without being hindered by any of these situations. To unlock this, you'll need to recover the Dream Material from a Giant Breadbug on the final sublevel of Glutton's Kitchen.
Mainline appearances[]
Pikmin 2[]
In Pikmin 2, the Anti-Electrifier can be unlocked once the Dream Material is taken to the Research Pod in Glutton's Kitchen. When unlocked, the Anti-Electrifier makes the captain's suits unaffected by electricity, including electrical attacks. The Titan Dweevil's electrical blasts, however, still knock captains down but without dealing any space-suit damage. This device is particularly useful when trying to pass by electrical hazards with a group of Yellow Pikmin.
Pikmin 3[]
In Pikmin 3, the Anti-Electrifier is found in the Distant Tundra, buried in a snow mound right next to where Charlie first landed. When integrated into the Koppaites' Space Suits, it serves to negate the effects of all electrical hazards for the leaders. The third hardest to find, the Anti-Electrifier is located in one of three mounds, two of which hold Pellets while the third holds said item.
Right where Charlie landed in the Distant Tundra. Turn right after exiting the cave with the Pyroplasmic Slooches and go to the end of the path to find it. Be wary of the many enemies on the way back to the Drake. An Arctic Cannon Larva is guarding it. It will be buried in the ground.
