The Crushblat family is a family of bulbous, frog-like, bipedal creatures known for forming extremely durable shells around themselves, often made up of crystal-like material, thus making the shells extremely tough.
Calcified Crushblat[]
The Calcified Crushblat is a species of Crushblat found within Pikmin 3's Tropical Wilds. It is rather frog-like, often found near water, and stands on bird-like legs which it is able to retract as it rests, resembling nothing more than a crystalline rock. It doesn't actively hunt down Pikmin, but if provoked, it will leap up into the air and crush anything underneath, similar to a Wollywog. If the armor is destroyed, it could take it days to fully recover its calcified armor defense, meanwhile being vulnerable to predators.
Only Rock Pikmin, and Bomb Rocks are able to break through the Calcified Crushblat's outer shell.
Crystalline Crushblat[]
The Crystalline Crushblat is a Crushblat species within Hey! Pikmin, and can be found in Sparkling Labyrinth, and Snowfall Field. Its a relatively slow creature, its legs exponentially smaller than the Calcified Crushblat, and attacks enemies in a similar crushing fashion, though unable to jump off the ground. It can move much faster if the shell is destroyed, however, and the shell can only be destroyed by Rock Pikmin.
