Long Water Dumple

The Long Water Dumple is the second boss of Hey! Pikmin, and the boss of Sector 2, Verdant Waterfront. It is a large, purple, eel-like creature, with stalks tipped with pink orbs that apparently function as eyes. It attacks by charging at Pikmin, shooting small rocks, and causing large rocks to fall from the ceiling. When defeated, it will drop the Unexamined Nest.

Creature Log: "Pikmin seem to bounce right off the thick hairs on its head, leaving them vulnerable to being swallowed up. It's the terror of the seas! The two glowing orbs on stalks function like eyes. According to the S.S. Dolphin II, they are delicious when roasted, but I don't have the stomach to try."

Battle strategy[]

Note: The following part(s) of the article is a strategy (or strategies); therefore, it is highly subjective, meaning it may not work for everyone.

The boss will first be seen in the background, but will soon appear on the right and prepare to charge. The boss fights similarly to an Eye-Stalker Bulbeel. Get out of it's path and wait for it to lunge, and immediately throw your Pikmin onto its body. Once it shakes them off, the Long Water Dumple will return to the background, causing rocks to fall from the ceiling, and repeat its pattern. After its first time around, the Long Water Dumple will shoot rocks while preparing to charge. Dodge the rocks, and repeat these steps until the boss dies.
