The Omega Stabilizer is a recurring ship part of the S.S. Dolphin in the Pikmin series. It first appears in Pikmin, as one of twenty-five mandatory ship parts to collect, and returns in the Olimar's Shipwreck Tale campaign of Pikmin 4. The Omega Stabilizer is the left fin at the bottom of the S.S. Dolphin.
Mainline appearances[]
Pikmin[]

The Omega Stabilizer, next to Olimar.
The Omega Stabilizer is located in The Forest Navel, inside of the Puffstool. With at least thirty Red Pikmin, Olimar must go to the area with the Fiery Blowhogs, since Red Pikmin are unaffected by fire, and around the portion of land sticking out of the ground, to the left of the Blowhogs. There are Male Sheargrubs, Shearwigs, and a Wollyhop to defeat along the way to the darkest region, where the Puffstool is fought. After the Puffstool is defeated, Olimar must instruct at least thirty Pikmin to return the Omega Stabilizer to the S.S. Dolphin, for up to fifty in total. Once the Omega Stabilizer is returned, it adjusts in size and shape and covers the metal frame of the fin at port.
In his Discovery Notes, Olimar states that he needed the Omega Stabilizer in order for the S.S. Dolphin to fly straight again and that it helped him fly through several deep space storms.
Pikmin 4[]
In Pikmin 4's Olimar's Shipwreck Tale campaign, the Omega Stabilizer is located in Blossoming Arcadia. The Omega Stabilizer is near the Fragment Ravine, after turning left to the Bomb Rock Wall, blow it up and defeat the Pyroclasmic Slooch to obtain the Omega Stabilizer.

Notes[]
Discovery Notes[]
"I've found the Omega Stabilizer!
I absolutely must have this piece if my battered ship is ever to fly straight again. It has steered me through countless deep space storms. That, and it looks rather cool."
Ship Log[]
"This is the Dolphin's fin. It is a little beaten up, but it should still function. I've made great strides in repairing the Dolphin! With this, I should be able to fly again-even if I don't recover all 30 parts."
Trivia[]
- Despite canonically being only one of the Dolphin's three fins, it appears to be a double fin in the field, making it the only part visible on the ship that changes models after being attached. The most probable explanation for this is that the asymmetrical shape of the single fin model created visual glitches when Pikmin tried to surround it to carry it, so the model was mirrored in the field to create a round object.
