The Pikmin Short Movies are a collection of three short animations created by Shigeru Miyamoto to promote Pikmin 3 and Pikmin 3 Deluxe. The first movie, The Night Juicer, is about Olimar making a drink from Pikpik Carrots, the second movie, Treasure in a Bottle, is about the Pikmin finding a treasure, and the third movie, Occupational Hazards, is about the Pikmin working on a construction site.
The movies could originally be downloaded on both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. As of October 8th, 2020, the app has been delisted from both consoles' eShops, so it can no longer be downloaded; however, the movies were uploaded to Nintendo's official YouTube channels the same day.
Trivia[]
- In the intro, Purple and White Pikmin are mistakenly seen with white flowers, while in the games these types have pink flowers.
- Rock and Winged Pikmin are notably absent from the short movies themselves, but appear in the special features.
- Although not in the three shorts, when Pikmin was released, an anime short mysteriously popped up on the internet, it is unknown if it is official or if it has any real purpose.
