These are the guidelines that contributors on the Pikmin Wiki must follow, for the sake of keeping the site safe and clean.

Rules

  1. Excessive use of profane/vulgar language will not be tolerated, along with racial/religious slurs. The first time, a person will receive a warning. The second time, that user will be blocked for a short period of time, and the third usage will receive a block of a longer duration. All profanity will be censored if caught. "Crap", though not the nicest of words, is not classified as profanity.
  2. Do not make personal attacks or troll other users. If you need to criticize another user’s argument, do so without attacking them as a person. Do not use bigoted language, including slurs which degrade another person or group of people based on gender, race, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, etc.
  3. Do not threaten harm or spam/vandalism to other users and wikis. If you see anyone threatening another person or wiki, report to the administrator.
  4. Never respond to old comments on Message Walls, Forums, Blogs, and such on unless you have something truly important to say on the topic.
  5. Do not add speculation to articles (i.e. the Hairy Bulborb looks like a dog) or biased content. Always use a neutral point of view.
  6. All notes, recipes, sales, and etcetera belong on their respective pages. For example, the page Breadbug/Louie belongs on the Breadbug page.
  7. Please do not upload irrelevant images to the Pikmin Wiki, such as self/personal portraits, icons, and so forth. However, anything that you wish to use on your user page or signature must be marked with {{User image}} in the description so we know that it is a user image.
  8. This is a wiki, not E-Bay or Amazon. Do not engage in excessive self-promotion. The wiki is a collaborative community resource for the topic at hand. It is NOT a free place to advertise your related website, products, YouTube channel, blog, social media account, etc. Have a question about whether your link would be welcome? Ask an administrator!
  9. Do not create pages, blogs, comments, and the like "just to do it". It is considered spam, and will be treated as such.
  10. Disrupting the wiki with "edit warring" over differing opinions of a topic with another user or group of users is not productive.
  11. Do not ask for a user's personal information or account information, even if you are admin or bureaucrat. Such offense results in an automatic, permanent block of the person who asked.
  12. Do not copy writing from Pikipedia word-for-word, because they are a rival wiki.

Blocking rules

Users may be blocked on this wiki for the following reasons:

  • Recurring vandalism or spamming
  • Deliberately misgendering (i.e. using the wrong pronouns) and otherwise disrespecting people's stated facts about their person and identity.
  • Recurring harassment, including hounding, personal or legal threats, posting of personal information, repeated messaging and ignoring their request to be left alone
  • Continual edit warring
  • Making a personal attack on another user
  • Sockpuppetry
  • Asking other users personal information such as age, location, etc.
  • Advertising

Blocks will begin at 24 hours and will increase depending on the number of offenses and type of offense. However, any account whose clear purpose is to create vandalism will be blocked indefinitely. If you feel you have been blocked unfairly, you can reach out to an administrator on their message wall in Community Central, or even Fandom Staff via this link.
