Pikmin Wiki

The Pocked Airhead (デコリボッコリ, Protrusion of Nothing) is a fruit in Pikmin 3 and a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is actually a dekopon, a type of orange resembling a tangelo, and this fruit is typically buried in the ground in the game. It produces two and a half cups worth of juice.

Appearances[]

Pikmin 3[]

There are two Pocked Airheads in Pikmin 3, located in the Tropical Wilds and Garden of Hope respectively.

In Tropical Wilds, the Pocked Airhead is located right outside of the landing site, between the Reinforced Wall and the arena where the Sandbelching Meerslug is fought. It is buried, so Yellow Pikmin are recommended to get it out of the ground faster. Be aware that a Whiptongue Bulborb is also patrolling this area, so be sure to deal with it first.

In Garden of Hope, the Pocked Airhead is located behind an electric gate across the bridge that was built on Day 2, to the right of the sleeping Bulborb. While Yellow Pikmin are destroying the gate, be sure to kill the Bulborbs so they will not get in the way of Pikmin carrying the fruit back.

The Pocked Airhead and the Slapstick Crescent are the only fruits that are not given by a boss that give 2.5 bottles of juice.

Pikmin 4[]

In Pikmin 4, there are also two Pocked Airheads, but unlike the previous game, both Pocked Airheads are located in a cave, Doppelgänger's Den and Cavern for a King, respectively.

In Doppelgänger's Den, a Pocked Airhead is located on sublevel 3, near the center, where it sits on a floating platform. Obtaining it requires that a nearby clay wall be constructed and then climbed on. Pocked Airheads have a weight value of 12, so at least that many Pikmin have to be thrown at the Pocked Airhead to take it to the S.S. Beagle.

In Cavern for a King, a Pocked Airhead is located on sublevel 19. It is partially buried in a mound of sand along the eastern edge of the area.

Notes[]

Brittany[]

  • American English releases: "When we opened this one up, I was curious what we'd find in the funny head at the top of the fruit. Turns out, nothing. So it's got a thick skin, with a big head that doesn't actually have anything inside. That's what I named it for the captain (hee hee!)."
  • British English releases: "When we opened this one up, I was curious as to what we'd find inside the funny head at the top. Turns out, it was empty. So, it's thick-skinned and has a big head with not a whole lot going on inside. Hmm... Reminds me of someone in this team..."
