Serene Shores is a tropical area that has an abundance of water hazards. A Blue Onion can be found here, but you can also get a Blue Onion in Sun-Speckled Terrace. When it is noon or later, the tide goes down, causing there to be less water and render some water enemies helpless.

Environment[]

Serene Shores seems to be a beach, with lots of tropical flowers, seaweed, rock-pools, and even a large sandcastle in the southern half of the area. There seems to be a lot of fish and coral, although there doesn't seem to be that many human remains aside from the sandcastle. Some of the enemies include Peckish Aristocrabs, Armored Cannon Larva, and Puckering Blinnows.

Trivia[]

  • Serene Shores is the only area in the series to have a time-based mechanic (the tide).

Serene Shores' theme in Olimar's Shipwreck Tale. Note The Distant Spring's motif

  • There is a Blue Onion present despite one also being obtainable in the Sun-Speckled Terrace.
  • Part of the area is inaccessible in Olimar's Shipwreck Tale.
  • This is the only aboveground area in Pikmin 4 where Purple Pikmin are recommended for use.
  • If the water is frozen when the tide changes, it will become unfrozen in the cutscene and go down like normal. The Ice Pikmin freezing it will simply drop down to ground level when the cutscene is over.
