The Shooting Spiner (Female) is an enemy encountered in Hey! Pikmin. It is a puffy, pink, spider-like creature that attacks by shooting out its legs. It has a male counterpart that attacks differently and is brown instead of pink.

"I was startled to learn that all members of this species are born male, but some metamorphose into females as they grow older. On second thought, it's a little embarrassing I was so surprised. The universe is a big place with all kinds of possibilities I never considered. Who am I to say this one or that one is weird?
Battle Strategy[]
Before it shoots out its legs, or after, throw a Pikmin at it. Like many enemies in this game, it dies in one hit.
