Treasures are a recurring type of item in the Pikmin series. They are separated into groups called Treasure series and first appear in Pikmin 2, where the entire premise of the game revolves around Olimar and Louie having to collect enough treasure to pay off the debt in Pokos of the Hocotate Transportation Company. Treasures are also the main collectable items in Pikmin 3, Hey! Pikmin, Pikmin 4 and Pikmin Finder, mostly being used to provide Sparklium for the S.S. Dolphin II and S.S. Shepherd respectively.
In Pikmin 2, any collected treasures are stored in the Treasure Hoard. In Pikmin 4, they are found in the Treasure Catalog, which serves the same purpose as the Hoard, just with a different title, and is unlocked once Schnauz the castaway is recovered. In Hey! Pikmin, treasures are accessed in the S.S. Dolphin II.
